Tracking the activity of prospects, leads and customers across your entire website is obviously an important task and when implemented, it opens up a world of automation possibilities. While we also provide the ability to make individual Trackers for link clicks and even views, the most effective method to track all web activity is by placing a Web Tracker on your site.
In this article you will learn how to find your unique Web Tracker code, customize it (optional) and install on your own web site to start collecting essential data for your marketing campaigns.
To create and user a Web Tracker, you will need:
Note: Web Trackers are Project based, so if you have created more than one Project in your Womplify account, make sure to use the Web Tracker specific to that Project.
Note: if you enable any of these options, you should add the corresponding code snippet to the main Web Tracker code OR your own AJAX callbacks, if applicable.
Your Web Tracker is now collecting lead data.
Lead GUID + contact email + your secret salt IF including GUID-Contact is set to Yes.
Lead GUID + your secret salt IF including GUID-Contact is set to No.
You should set your secret salt under Settings > Advanced > User > tracker.guid.secret.salt or Settings > Advanced > Project > tracker.guid.secret.salt.
