Keyword Research

One of the most fundamental tasks in digital marketing is keyword research. It forms the foundation upon which you can build your content marketing and SEO campaigns and even entire sites. Knowing which keywords attract enough interest, how tough the competition is for those keywords, what related keywords are worth using, how much it costs to buy ads targeting those keywords, and more. This is essential data which must be to hand when you start a project and throughout its life-cycle. Womplify provides the keyword research tools to help you find those nuggets of keyword gold.

In this article you will learn how to add a new seed keyword for analysis, how to fetch additional data about each keyword and how to drill down to find and add related keywords.

Requirements

To research keywords, you will need:

  •  A seed keyword or niche idea to start from, which may or may not be the same as the keywords you add here.

Note: you just need a broad keyword to start with and can then drill down from there.

How to Add a Keyword

  1. On the left menu, click Research and then click the Keyword Research menu option (see Figure 1) .
  2. In the SEO Keywords box, click the + button.
  3. In the Create Keyword popup, enter a keyword and optionally also some tags to associate with that keyword.
  4. Click the Create button.

Your newly added keyword is now in the SEO Keywords list and additional data is being fetched and crunched and will appear in the table shortly.

  • Namecheap button – click this to find any available domain names matching the keyword.
  • SEMRush button – click this to get detailed data about the keyword.

How to Find & Add Related Keywords

After adding a keyword as described above, you can now drill down to see related keywords, and keywords related to those keywords, which can then also be easily added to your stored keywords for further analysis.

  1. In the SEO Keywords box, click on a keyword.
  2. In the Related Keywords box, on the Wiki tab, additional keywords pulled from Wikipedia are displayed along with View Count (see Figure 2).
