Custom Fields in Forms

Web based forms come in all shapes and sizes, from the simplest Email collector to the in-depth questionnaire, and everything in-between. Everybody has different requirements for their subscribe forms at different times and for different campaigns. Womplify allows you to easily add all manner of additional fields to your Lead collection forms, using a simple editor.

In this article you will learn how to add any type of custom fields to your subscribe forms.

How to Add Custom Fields

  1. Follow the instructions on How to Build a Form to open the Forms editor.
  2. Click the Templates button and then select Subscription Form to add a basic form which you can easily modify.
  3. If you are familiar with HTML and can create Form Elements by hand, click the Source button to edit the form HTML directly.
    If you do not want to edit the HTML by hand, click the Form Elements buttons to add specific types of form field (see Figure 1).

  4. Add any types of form field you would like, and give each field a unique name (see Figure 2).
  5. Click the Create button.

Note: all custom fields you add will be stored in the Lead record and that data can be retrieved based on the name you give that field, so make sure you choose suitable field names and that they are unique to your account.
