Create Activity Trackers

Tracking what your prospects and leads are doing is of course essential, whether it be anonymous clicks on a link you posted on Twitter or an email sent to a subscriber, or a landing page view or some other activity. With Womplify you can easily create trackers for logging all that clicking and viewing activity.

In this article you will learn how to create Click Trackers and View Trackers.

Requirements

Nothing special is required to create and use trackers, other than some place to post them online, whether that be your own web site, a social network or an email sent to your subscribers.

How to Create Trackers

There are two types of trackers in Womplify – Click Trackers and View Trackers.

A Click Tracker appears in the form of a shortened link using womp.io and when someone clicks the link they will be redirected to the real url you provide. The system will then also log data about the click which can be used in analytics and automation triggers.

To create a Click Tracker:

  1. On the left menu, click Campaigns and then click Trackers and Click Trackers (see Figure 1).
  2. On the Click Trackers page, click the + button at the bottom left.
  3. In the Tracker Item popup, enter the tracker details such as Name, Tags (optional), Destination (URL) and Screenshot Action (makes a screencap of the destination page).
  4. Click the Create button and the new tracker will appear in your trackers list.

You can now use the created Short-Link in your posts, wherever they may be.

View Trackers are used for logging views to a page or an email subscribe form. You can use them to collect statistics about landing page and email views and they can be used for automation triggers.

To create a View Tracker:

  1. On the left menu, click Campaigns and then click Trackers and View Trackers (see Figure 2).
  2. On the View Trackers page, click the + button at the bottom left.
  3. In the Tracker Item popup, enter the tracker details such as Name, Tags (optional), Origin (URL) and Screenshot Action (makes a screencap of the destination page).
  4. Click the Create button and the new tracker will appear in your trackers list.

The created Pixel url can be used in a standard img HTML tag placed on any web page, for example: <img src=”https://v.womp.io/6H/K”>.
